I’m sorry but why are we trying to fuck our problems away? It always annoys me so much whenever a story is written so well but sex seems to be the answer to everything. Well in this case the sex ain’t helping and in fact making it all worse. Even with most recent chapter why is there sex in every almost chapter while our boy here is literally a mental mess this reminds me Lost in the cloud situation because with all the toxicity why is it solved with love bombing instead of actual communication
I’ve actually come to love Anita as the story progressed, at first it seemed like she was a power hungry woman that wanted to destroy the throne for the power and was jealous, but it was something deeper than that. Her character is sorrowful and naive. The first emperor I felt truly did love her but was so blinded by what he lacked and scared to lose that it overpowered his love for her. I also love the appearance of the other witches, because it showed how even if we as audience hate her or the characters hate her, they still loved her and wanted some form of forgiveness for her. That to them she was just a girl, not a witch, not a species, but the girl they loved and raised, that was blinded by her love.
I love the theme about “pushover-ness” because it caused the entire fall for the witches, the empire and even our FL herself. The first emperor blinded by his fear of losing his lover and lack of treasures, when in reality he didn’t need it at all. Anita so blinded by love she was taken advantage of which indirectly caused the death of her loved ones. Theor letting everyone walk and use him to be accepted which brought the demise of the empire. FL for allowing herself to be walked over and treated like trash because she wanted the love and validation from her father, and felt it was her responsibility to bear the hate.
It all ended in tragedy because of the overpower feeling of fear and love. But at the same time these same feelings also introduced an alternative end, the ending we got. I loved how it mentions that none of this would have been possible if not for FL’s will and Anita’s will. I loved the story and personally didn’t really care for the romance or ML besides the fact he was pretty. I was more interested and intrigued with the way FL handled things, her relationship with her brother and father and the antagonist. I would’ve love a spin off with a more in depth perspective about Anita’s story from her POV or the first emperor.
I wish it would’ve been a Ophelia x Emilia manhwa. There relationship was just so beautiful and loving. The quote that Ophelia says about Emilia “My Emilia is good at everything, but she needs a weapon in order to wield her skills” just breaks my heart. She knew all she was able to know about her most beloved person. The way Emilia would talk and reminisce about Ophelia just makes it all so sad. She truly grieves in her own way she misses her.
I wish that this manhwa wasn't focused on the ML potentials or any romance at all with the men. Because Ophelia was the best out of them all. Her reason to live is to live for Ophelia. Maybe her and Raretus or whatever his name was do have some history and past interactions together, but I would’ve love a alternate universe of Ophelia and Emilia. They truly were soulmates.
Everyone who blames Yeonwoo stfu, we all know how you really see real victims now so stfu.
"Oh he could've told his friends, teachers or parents like stfu, no it's not fucking easy, it's easier said than doing.
When I was a fucking child probably near Yeonwoo's age, I was touched inappropriately by my uncle many times. It's not fucking easy to tell someone "this person has been touching me without consent". Because guess what the victim tends to think?
"Won't I ruin the current flow of happiness for other right now if I told?"
"If I tell, I might get in trouble, I might break the family apart"
"Will I be blamed for allowing them access, when I could've stopped"
"Will anyone believe me?"
"I know my parents will believe it's there fault, and I just can't bear to see that"
LIKE yes Yeonwoo does have ally his parents and friend, but he cannot go to them because HE IS SCARED AND WORRIED TO TELL THEM. HE ATTEMPTED TO TELL HIS FRIEND about what was going on but then he remembered what happened to his other friend when he got involved. SO stfu, just say that you never had to go through shit like that.
Because people who have gone through this shit knows its not easy, and if you are a person who did go through this and is victim blaming Yeonwoo, go check yourself out, because if you plan to victim blame Yeonwoo, then go do the same to yourself. Bye
I get anyone can get triggered by the story, and anyone can feel free to drop it because of the contents it holds. But to call the thing that happened to Yeonwoo unnecessary and say that the author is gross for inputting the stuff that happened, is just so painfully sad to see. What happened to Yeonwoo is extremely sad and realistic and explains his self blaming and timid personality as of now. It also explains why he's always blaming himself first and worrying about others first because anyone that got involved with him were either bullied or subjected to rumors alongside with him. (Look at his past from middle school as example, the rumor with Nari, his friend also getting rumors subjected about him and injured when fighting one of the dude in previous chapters).
Yeah sure you might get annoyed at him being timid, him being so girly looking and self blaming. But there are real people out there exactly like him and sadly have experienced the same thing as him.
The story at the beginning was more chill more "pure" but as we go on further into the story the "pure" layer is slowly being lifted and the truth is slowly being revealed just like how Yeonwoo is trying to keep his "innocence" by playing a facade as if nothing happened. The author has DEF placed enough reasonable hints throughout the story for this development to be placed and not just place it for the like or for the pleasure of a character just getting SA. (keep in mind, most authors tend to think their main plot lines further ahead so that there is no CONTRADICTING info, and this author has done well with avoiding that, as everything from beginning to now is finally making sense!)
Also if everyone wants to dog about Yeonwoo being more on the feminine side, while not trying to understand his character then why is no one doing the same about Haesol??? Haesol def acts more towards the masculine side, but do we understand why? Was she always like that? NO she is like that because of her past and her family plays a role with it, with the information that has been revealed so far about her past we can only assume that. But note THAT EVEN YEONWOO notices that her being a "cool" girl seems odd because he begins to think is she really just a "cool" girl or is there something going on beyond that.
Also I'm happy that none of you people had to experience anything Yeonwoo has, but your clear ignorance (Korean school violence) and disregard for empathy is clearly showing.
Not only is the author making it awareness, but they are NOT SEXUALIZING THE SA, they are keeping it real, and not making it rainbow and cupcakes or romanticizing like how BL does it. This author depicts school violence really well, I know someone who grew up in Korea and went to school there and let me tell you the bullying there is no joke. The person I know told me they locked them up in the school basement for fucking 3-4 days, and would not elaborate any further on what those 3-4 days were like. All that I know is that they came out of the fucking basement looking like hell.
Anyways drop the story if it's too harsh and not to your taste, but do not diminish the reasonable development of the story just because it's too dark and more on the realistic side for you. At the end of the day, everyone can feel free to like and dislike whatever they want, but before you critique a story for its "poor" and dark turn of events, you would probably need to refine your literary skills for that because everything up to now is reasonable and depicted realistically and not just for shit and giggles, and since the author is fucking Korean, they probably know what the school violence is like even more and the reality of it.

I think I understand why the esper was so on edge and unstable before he lost his memory. I think he feared he might accidentally kill his guide one day because of his power or subconsciously kill him, but he just seemed better at hiding and putting up a front compared to now.
I think so too, hopefully he's a good ML
