I am convinced that the author of this book is either a psych major or someone who is really interested in psychology. Specially after reading the novel. The way the original author portrayed personality disorders and mental disturbances in this book is amazing. not only because it's accurate, but also because it was portrayed so vividly and so disturbingly that it would inevitably have an effect on the reader. I had to pause for a lot of times while reading the novel, but interest in the conclusion of everything and the psychological themes is what pushed me through.
as a fellow psych major, i do agree for this after reading the half parts of the novel, it so detailed that you would thought that this author have potential for more interesting story if it weren't for this one, but if you are viewing the story in a different perspective maybe you'll appreciate how they describe their characters very well
It's a lot easier to understand the psych horror aspect of the story when reading the novel over the manhwa, art's pretty but makes it... idk oversexual? Glamourized?

Yeah, I get what you mean. It does have that kind of feeling, but I think the artist is attempting to create the same impact that the book has
