As someone who was devastatingly in love with their best friend in middle school and my whole world revolved around her I related so much to heesu. I get so much queer joy/envy from this story oof ಥ‿ಥ

One note I have is I really think it would've been so much more impactful if, in the last chapter when geom passed him in the street, he didn't turn back. I feel like after the moment on the beach, with the talks of his eyesight deteriorating and his synesthesia and how geom is now too bright to look at, he didn't recognize him. I feel like he wouldn't have turned back bc now that geom is just another "boring, happy person" he'd blend in with everyone else and he wouldn't have noticed him. It would've hit harder that geom is now a new person and has fully left his past behind ugh. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I was thinking the same thing when i read the scene, but it could also mean that Geom will never be completely "normal" that's why he recognized him. I mean it wouldn't be weird that all that happened to him altered him in a way forever.

But Geom not looking back has probably more meaning. I feel like it almost shows that even tho he went through all that trauma he's moving forward instead of not looking back. That just proves that Geom is stronger than the white haired dude.
