her asshole bio father abandoned her for 17 years, then kidnapped her and dragged her into his territory, only to terrorize her for being “weak.” yet the author treats the whole situation like a lighthearted comedy instead of exploring the fear, resentment, and trauma that should come with it. the premise had so much potential for angst and emotional depth, but the execution is RIDICULOUS.
