Rape in stories like this is such an interesting trope, yes it happens and yes it is bad, but I feel like showing the in depth rape scene from start to finish leans into fetishization. There are plenty ways to hint towards it rather than showing the full blown scene beginning to end, especially since it can also be very triggering for people who have experienced it. Say what you will but I will never understand the implement of explicit rape in any media
