Currently we find out the cosette is just a demon that's possoing her body bc the mother rowena the past wife of the duke sold her soul to that demon to take her dead baby and exact revenge on the kingdom that left her behind after the duke divorced her. So while cosette and keira are half-sisters cosette was already dead at birth and her body is just a vessal. Then the grandfather for cosette tried to prove that kira's grandfather killed his daughter with a witness that he paid to also be serect lover of kira's mother. But it all failed when kira's grandfather threatened the guy with his family and possibly money idk yet to change whatever route the other guy said. So in a rage for losing costte granddad stabbed kira's granddad.
