I understand being the apprehensiveness, slow to warm up, and having trust issues after being hurt physically and/or mentally. What I don’t understand is using it as such a crutch that you weaponize it and give as good as you received or worse pain to people who aren’t exhibiting red flags or treating you in any other way than positively with patience and care.
