I would've never accepted this normally too but you have to look at the context. They are Egyptian gods. All of them are family the wives are cousins or sisters of their husband bc they all are descendant from the giants. (And they are so different that they don't look like family) Not trying to force you into reading this or anything I'm just trying to make you understand how I see this bc I think you should take the context into consideration

All these gods represent a fraction of the cosmic process that explain the creation of habitable environment and birth of life on earth.. gods are complete infinite beings in themselves n their offsprings are their equal counterparts they don't have human relation ties. Ancient egyptians worshiped and acknowledged the elements by personifiying them for idolatry n ritual practises. But theyre literally natural n scientific elements or 8 fold path philosophical representation of cosmic order aka justice, chaos, order, Knowledge, love, etc etc. Treat them as such n u will be able to shed the human lense perspective u have

Noo it didnt its literally okay. I just added my bit. Just a bit of correction I'd like to make if u dont mind (=・ω・=) ie... Egyptian gods arent descended from any giants. Acc to theory, at first there was the void aka cosmic ocean /waters named nun from which amun separated n upon an island like mound that emerged, Ra came to be aka energy aka light personified n Ra self birthed tefnut n shu aka air and moisture (Ra also birthed love fertility and anarchy). air n moisture in turn gave birth to sky and land aka nut n geb who brought about life(osiris) magic/invention/miracles(isis) and chaos (seth).

These are the primordial main beings n the rest are geographical local personification of elements like rivers winds fire soil etc etc yk a diety to preside over stuff. I think gods descended from giants are in greek? Im not sure

it doesn’t matter what their meant to represent if i can identify that the author is trying to squeeze as much incest porn and rape into the plot as subtly as possible

its strange to say not to apply humane terms to them when they are referred to with humane terms throughout the series, especially through the interfamilial relationships they have. i don’t need to shed the “human lense perspective” i have to recognize a poorly written story and my multiple gripes with this series don’t start or end with the incessant depictions of incest or rape

The author isnt trying to squeeze as "much porn or incest" do u realise thats literally how its written and worse in the actual mythology ( ・－・). And there's a difference between humane vs humanity. And i literally told u the scientifically based spiritual logic behind why theyre depicted thru interfamilial relationships. Even in this manhwa its been stated again n again that gods are complete independent beings with no concept of familiar bonds whatsoever from who theyre borne of. Theyre equivalent to their creator primordial beings and back in those days incest was an acceptable + readily practised norm among powerful egyptians and thats just what they applied as well to their understandings of the world and elements around them. Hydrogen n oxygen make water its a fact. Now if I were to re imagine hydrogen n oxygen as siblings who are couple as well that doesnt change the fact of what they are neither make my version any relevant to reality. That's simply my perspective as How I would like to imagine them. If I make up a humane emotional dramatic story behind creation of water that's my rendition not the truth neither it makes the compounds humane.

And u just said u randomly check up on this manhwa aka your reading is surface level and if thats really how it is then I do not have anything to hold discussion since that's your personal bias n opinion which ofc u have the right to express or view as u wish but its a pity if the incest factor holds u back from reading this cuz its not really a poorly written yaoi slop. It is pretty early for him to appear since he's supposed to be one of the strongest entities in their world (i think ?) But since Kiyoshi is so strong right from the beginning of the manga it's kind of necessary for an equal opponent to appear, otherwise once he conquers his fear of demons (which he's already starting to do) the story would just go nowhere.

Also it did only take 100 souls to summon the demon Lord but it was facilitated by wtv that one guy's name was and he was only able to stay for three minutes so it's a pretty reasonable amount of souls imo
