It might be historical base. I'm not confident about that. It's about a girl. Her father(?), along with a bunch of other people tossed the main female down this tower-like building and then it flashes back to how she's been raise to be a sacrifice for her sister. A bunch of pale-ish blue hands reached out to her and helped her escape and her family looked pissed off. It's set in an alternative world. Two kids pair up and become partners (it doesn't have to be romantic partners). It's set in high school although we also see the MCs as children. The two MCs are each other's partners first and then became romantic later on.
There are also other pairings but i don't remember them.
