I had hoped since they entertained, even so slightly, the idea CP wanted to defy his destiny that the mutilated corpse from the tiger attack was not him and that the portrait was planted by CP and or by the guard. But then her mother dies, yeah, that really crushed any hope I had of her brother ever being alive.
