I’m not a novel reader but this is what I understand so far:

1. Jio was previously an arts teacher
2. Disaster struck at the school resulting in mass fire with no escape so Jio took “refuge” in his classroom
3. Became one with painting and stopped being human (bro literally didn’t have to do toilet duties lol) and awakens as a “God of Gods” unknowingly
4. 30 yrs or so passed with the rise of awakened people and dungeons.
5. Jio gets discovered by awakened, gets sold to collector guy (forgot his name), and is now making contact with other people in all of his glory lol

His powers so far:
Has the ability to create creatures and dungeons alike.
He also can assimilate with those who are like him in the dungeons he creates (probably means he can take on their powers, memories, etc.)
He can also see someone’s level of safety/danger as long as he’s looking through a frame like structure or thing.

Can you also be so kind to explain if when he created the sea painting, did he inadvertently causes the destruction of the dimension that already existed or did the dimension exists solely because he created the sea and hence the dimension. Is JIO the blonde was also the byproduct of the creation of the dimension. Why did it become a dungeon? Or is it not a dungeon?

Oh, I can explain that. The paintings like Breath of the Sea is more of a search result found kinda stuff. The world already exist before Jio painted the painting and its destruction is not related to Jio but Giovanni is involve in the process but he isn't the direct cause, Giovanni is more of a deceased individual that happens to be a match with high compability rate with Jio that the system has found.

The manhwa didn't delve into it but aside from "Breath of the Sea", Jio had also painted 2 other paintings. The first one which the manhwa depicted as a charred hand in fire (named "Animal Kingdom") is a similar case to "Breath of the Sea", while the other portrait named "Void city" (i dont remember much bout its name) is the Jio's actual creation where the system wasn't able to find any matching system resulting in the painting becoming something similar to those waterbirds like Honey.

To summarise, the sea existed as an actual world before he painted it but was later destroyed resulting in the world becoming a dungeon. After becoming a dungeon, the world travel to different dimension in the form of dungeon and then move on laterwards. Giovanni has existed, he is not a byproduct of the creation. As for why did it become a dungeon, that is related to the "Roots" and how it operate.

What Jio painted was not a new dimensions but its was like a search machine where after he painted, the system will search if any dimensions corresponded to the painting, where he can make a connection to that world via a person who also named 'Jio' with a high compatibility.

Can I ask is there a reason why he has to assimilate to the world and borrow Gio's identity? I fear that for me it was such a turn of events that I couldn't really the direction of the plot.

Remember they introduced the terms 'adaptor' and 'synchronization' in Chapter 10? So basically, an adaptor is an entity that is the closest match to you in another dimension. They are a 'you' in another dimension.

You have to understand that dimensions are not simply worlds. They are unique spaces, meaning they have their own rules and perception. If you dropped a regular human in another dimension without knowing its rules, bad things can happen.

Imagine waking up to a world without space, everything looks flat. You can immediately perish because your body requires three dimensions to function and survive. Not to mention if you do survive, you'll immediately go insane because humans are not meant to perceive the world with only 2 dimensions.

Or imagine being dumped in a world without time. As a regular human, you need time in order to move. Without time, the moment you are dumped in that dimension, you remain frozen and locked in space until you are extracted.

An adaptor lets you acclimate to that dimension without losing yourself by borrowing their soul and body. It's like wrapping your existence in a shell that is suited for that dimension's conditions, as well as that world's common sense and ideas.

Jio, as he is, won't survive in Giovanni's dimension in his regular body. If the roles were reversed, if Giovanni decided to appear in our dimension as he is, he'd certainly die as well due to some hidden rule.

But Giovanni is able to enjoy our world's seas and water thanks to being synchronized with Jio. Basically, Giovanni also benefited to Jio being an adaptor.

I haven't read the novel, but I'm intrigued by the third Jio 'Argeo' because he looks demon-like. It could be an insight to a conquering race.

There is also the painting/dimension 'City of Emptiness' or 'Void City' (for novel readers). If Jio is the original creator of that dimension, that means any other Jio adaptor needs to synchronize with Jio if they want to enter that dimension (assuming that dimension is only hospitable to earth Jio).
