i think it’s “rapey” largely because of the power imbalance, seeing as one is a teacher and the other is a student, but as far as i can tell there hasn’t been any (even indication of) rape through the series, both manga and the anime

No rape scenes in this manga. It doesn't really have any explicit sex scenes at all.
This series doesn't have any rape in it, rest assured. It's very light-hearted.
