It's understandable when romance is absent, interactions don't feel that interesting but not all horror types are supposed to be like that in the first place. MC can be as good as a coward, then learn from mistakes, fish for info and watch out for sus individuals while being careful of his surroundings. Romance for ghosts would be death for living (exceptions exist though) and I prefer romance only as a subplot (either vengeful or haunted) or none at all. This had good potential but got ruined by external factors, liked My House of Horrors (MHH) but ed part I pretend they got along instead of a weird happy ending scene, too out of place.
But feel free to try them, it's just me being biased as I liked MHH better than this

A shame such a gem is portrayed like a third rate story. Typical manhua looking charas who don't seem much. The ghost gf looks more like a human doll in a red dress, MC feels like the arrogant type, which isn't the case at all. Could have made the phone graphics cooler. If a better team could pick this plot, it could shine way better, unless they cut some parts. Guess this will remain ded.
I agree, this story would shine id the artstyle emphasized on the horror and sinster of mhoh rather than doll-like features and typical manhua mc...
Unfortunately, such type of stories shine better with a slow plot and slight modifications which can improve the flow better. If this became official, I'm worried it would turn out to be disappointing, the novel is better. Though I do wanna see the horrifying ghost entities, it won't be fun to view them in low quality or badly drawn figures. I can only picture them somewhat from horror vids seen until now.
