Same. However, thanks to the way the author ended it, I want to believe that someday, they'll all be reincarnated and meet again. Sure, they won't be the same people and there won't be the same circumstances... Jack probably won't ever appear again, nor will Lacie (maybe some others I forgot to mention?) But it's still a nice thought. With all the tragedies that's happened I'm just haopy that the original trio was reunited one way or another. (Really cried so bad though...) The author probably thought hard of how she wanted it to go and to end.
i just re-read it all for the second time. i had forgotten a lot of it. god, i forgot all the heart breaks at the end!!!! （/TДT)/ i did have an odd thought, or hope maybe though? Like, if the core of the abyss was lacie's spirit. that's why she loved alice, her kids. just a fun thought
