He was actually kinda brainwashed by lina. Like everyone will be charmed by her, which is also why she was the heroine of the og novel.

How come rouche wasn't affected though?

Rouche wasn't really affected even in og novel from what I heard. He just used Lina cause she's the saintess for benefits or some of sort. I don't really remember but I also read in spoilers that he actually divorced her in the og novel?

Wait I thought the real rouche died in the og novel and he was actually replaced by the evil half brother and that evil brother was the one who fell in love with the saint

Oh and I meant rouche in this world now with our seria not the og novel

Why is our rouche not affected by the saint but the blonde one is?

Im sorry kinda mixed up the spoilers but here's an explanation from novel updates :
It's actually strongly implied that the people who have magi in them were people who had relationships with Lina in the past life. The stronger the relationship, the more magi there is (hence the purification ritual being near fatal for Callis).

This is actually how the author hints to the reader that ML from past (2nd timeline) isn't the Lesche we know. In that previous timeline, Miles/Michael managed to kill off Lesche and his loyalists into he emerald manor incident and then pretended to him. Lina's ML in this timeline was the pretender, not the real Lesche.

Lesche probably bled because he's from one of the families that carry divine power (in fact, among the families, the Berg who guard the glaciers are considered to have strongest/purest divine power). I'm not sure what this implies. It could mean that Lina had similar issues with Callis in past life, it could also mean that Lesche's strong affinity for divine power helped protect him from manipulation.

Also, to respond to the original question, Lesche wasn't affected by Lina's charm power in 2nd ("og timeline") because he wasn't there.he was, presumably, already dead. There's also a first (actual og) timeline wherein he married Seria. The marriage cause his death because Seria was born as bona fide strongest Sterne in history and her powers were so strong that people couldn't be around her or they would start dying (she herself had bruises all over her body from her power). He married her because the priests told him Seria fancied him and he himself liked her. This triggered Seria to fall into despair and ask her guardian dragon "why can't she have a normal life" which led to 2nd timeline wherein an evil creature who loves the moon took the opportunity to create Linas and insert her into the timeline to get his hands on Seria (and the moon goddess). The remaining stuff and timeline is Seria's guardian dragon trying to fight off the Evil creature and restore the flow of the story. - from Serphinalily

According to the spoilers I got, Lethe and Esthel are the same person. Back in TL1 the knight who was very loyal to Chloe, the blonde man, was the one who raised Esthel/Lethe and because of him too, Esthel/Lethe finally turned back time to go to the past and give Chloe a second chance. that's why Esthel/lethe if you look very closely, she has a face similar to Raymond and hair color and eyes like Chloe . Esthel/Lethe also hates Chloe's crazy uncle because she heard stories from the knight about how that bastard treated Chloe and the knight. Esthel also really loves Chloe even though I wonder whether she knows that Chloe is her mother or not? Basically that's the spoiler I got
