Grew up from the abuse and pain and still can't defend himself, at this point you just asking for more. Maybe some cookie after you cried it out and repeat the abuse.

Both of them should never resume their relationship because inflicting wounds against each other was a sign they are going to kill or be killed by one or another. But then, we just live in a BL world so everything leads to a flower path by the end. And just like that, they will continue their love as if they belong in a fairy tale story.
