I don’t even know why I’m reading ts tell me how exactly are they in love? idk if something’s wrong with me or everyone is romanticizing everything these days… either way, y’all do u
It’s up to your preference, because the novels are old, they are bound to be problematic.
They don’t really fall in love in this one just yet, they’re catching just catching the feelings for each other in passion but they will treat each other better in Diaphonic symphonia and Suite tho. Taeui falls in love with the human side of Ilay, the sa/rape is not really supposed to be romanticized, it’s more so to show Ilays obsession with tay (cause he’s a psychopath)
So if you prefer dark romance, reading for the thrill, black flag top, psychological, you may like this. I personally like both, both stories are created by the literal same author, so I don’t really compare ships tbh, they all have a different impact. And I don’t see the point of comparing what’s “morally” better in fiction.
If you want something slightly fluffier and heathy you can read Raga.
Raga is not completely 100% healthy like most raga enthusiasts act, cause xinlu almost tried to SA tay a few times in passion, making him a yellow flag. Their story is so cute and healthy but slightly shorter, which is why the author may have made it more wholesome then the main couple, they didn’t want to drag it out by adding toxicity and issues.

I’m only at ch. 4 but every bit of it makes me cry…T-T
