I've always loved this story, and I love Yamamoto Kotetsuko so so much. However, I always find myself pissed of with Kengo's reaction to Shibuya being abused in chapter 11. Saying it's her fault, and that it's not bad because she wasn't hit very hard, and saying that she has to apologize for the behaviour of her shitty abusive husband. It's because people have views like this that Japan remains the country it is today in terms of high domestic and child abuse rates.

Yes... They themselves admitted that this is just the way she is, and that she isn't conscious of her misleading men. This is so shitty... It is not her fault! This is blatant victim-blaming!!!
I don't completely agree with you. It is true that the husband has no right to raise his hand against the wife. However, it is her fault. When you are married you can't just go out on dates with the same colleague multiple times, that would just lead to misunderstandings. (I'm emphasizing the word 'same' and 'multiple' because socializing with your colleagues is not a bad thing). And when she saw Kengo, she went straight to him and hugged him as if they have been friend since forever. You cant obviously do that,
That's what Kengo was trying to say. And what he meant by not being hit so hard, I think he meant that if she was abuse as the uke(sorry, for some reason I can't seem to remember his name >.<) her personality would have been different. More quieter and conscious. But the way she reacted when she saw Kengo was rather different, too affectionate and flirty I could say. Because even the uke felt uncomfortable by the way she hugged Kengo. Of course that doesn't justify the husbands actions. It is good to have a talk with the husband. Since they got married, there are going to be difficult times and communication is key to have a successful marriage. There is no such a thing as perfect marriage. There are always up and downs. But violence shouldn't be in no way allowed.
The hate slutty ukes get that slutty semes never seem to get unless they cheat, so annoying and hypocritical. Everyone who thinks the uke should be so innocent while the seme can mess around all the want can just die ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I hate hate hate the double standards in yaoi mangas where an uke who has a lot of sex is somehow bad but a seme who does isn't. On stories where ukes have lots of sex there are tons of comments like "I hate slutty uke", but there's none like that here where there is a super slutty seme. Also in the story Kusama even called the other boy he was shown to have sex with slutty, even though he himself is probably sluttier than that uke! It annoyed me so much I almost stopped reading right there. This is one aspect of the Japanese, of yaoi mangas, and of double standards between uke and seme and both genders in general, that I despise. (︶︿︶)＝凸
You are experiencing "hetero-normalization irritation". This occurs when a person of intellect and/or life experience encounters the hetero-normalization of gay men in media. The person is aware that gay men are not women. They do not think, act or conduct themselves within a relationship like women. The person then becomes irritated upon seeing this. In this case, just as women are sluts for sleeping around and men are studs, the same ideals are applied to the hetero-normalized uke. Hetero-normalization is rampant in yaoi and BL because most are written by hetero women for a hetero female audience. The theory is that women can't relate to a gay man unless he acts, thinks and conducts himself in a relationship like a woman. Most would think this idea is BS until one reads the scathing comments by hetero female readers for manga like "Prince Charming" where gay men are depicted realistically. Sadly, it is true that a hetero will never understand the feelings and actions of a homosexual person. They exist in two separate and distinct worlds that mingle and overlap, but never blend or intertwine. I can only assume that your irritation comes from knowing the truth about LGBT+ feelings and action, whether first or second hand. Yes? This makes it hard to view gay men as women or any LGBT+ person as anything they are not. You are among the minority, but the majority's ideas are not always correct. You already understand the truth, don't let anyone deceive you.

Shitty manga with a shitty ending full of shitty pairings. Tetsuo is the worst kind of person, indiscriminately hurting others because he's been hurt and can't handle his emotions like a fucking adult, why does he deserve a happy ending that causes 3 other people pain? After stepping all over his best friend's feelings, sleeping with a guy who really liked him and then insulting him horribly even though it all was HIS fault, then falling in love with and stealing away HIS SON'S best friend and longtime crush? Why does he get a happy ending????

My feelings are the same. Can't believe a person like that exists and gets forgiven by people around him. I was so happy when the son was yelling at him saying he hates him. He doesn't deserve any of those nice people.

yeah, I could have forgiven him if he wished for his son's happiness, and ended up with his childhood friend. I think he (the childhood friend) is cool, and wish he gets his own story where he meets a decent human being.
Ya it's shounen ai now, not being bombarded with sex scenes twice a chapter is actually refreshing you know (▰˘◡˘▰). Look for the smut tag if that's what you're after.
Rather, the most troubling is the lack of any story progression. There doesn't even need to be conflict, but as the story stands with the scientist and the "mask" and the lack of clarification with Hyuuga's past, there NEEDS to be some conflict or clarification or something, or this story will just die a slow death.
It’s not about that. We just want a legit story. This manga is fizzling out really fast. What a bummer - I really liked the two MCs and the 1st volume was really good. I keep reading this in the hope that the story will improve but honestly mangaka is just giving us boring vignettes if their day to day life. And they don’t even act like lovers - they are now simply two best friends.
