I think that number 3 guy is not that old, and the age difference between the Mc and him is big enough. From the flashback it looks like the Mc was much younger, so if mc's is in a timeline only 1 year before he got rescued then the timeline makes sense. There's enough time for them to grow. Idk if I'm explaining this clearly or not
Hmm true but idk in the beginning I thought we were told he wasn't in there that long that's why the time line seem weird. Maybe he was in there for longer and we just haven't been given the full picture
