I made it to episode 30, and I just couldn't do it anymore.
The protagonist annoys me by being constantly depressed and passive throughout the story. He's fragile for no apparent reason, and all he does is push away people who are supposedly close to him (why?) and have sex.
I feel like none of it makes much sense. The story is poorly put together, and I have no idea where the author is trying to take it.
I read the 60 chapters it has and tbh the character doesn’t really go through any development. also the plot only got interesting in like that last few chapters just for it to basically ruin it again （￣へ￣）
I don't know whether i should feel relieved or shocked haha...
I was expecting a protagonist who would play a bigger role in the story. It's a "Reincarnated / Reborn" trope, and I feel like he just goes along with everything without ever suggesting anything, only ruining his own options and then complaining about them afterward TTuTT
I'm at the end of Season 1, and wow~~~ thank you for this webtoon! It's been a long time since a story surprised me this much. Huge congratulations to both the author and the artist! Seriously... wow. Amazing ! O.O :D
Unpopular opinion :
1 • I actually really like the MC. I think he's lovable, adorable, and i just love his little face. I totally understand why he chose to leave because he was afraid of getting hurt.
2 • I like the way his enjoyment is portrayed. Sometimes he's more explicit, sometimes he's shy, and he has his own boundaries : when it's a real "no," it's a no.
I have a soft spot for those little contradictions in the MC. He says things like "no, wait...", but what he actually shows are spontaneous reactions born from embarrassment, shyness, and overwhelming emotions. He's caught somewhere between discovering new feelings, being anxious, and genuinely wanting it. Personally, i find that pretty natural and realistic (▰˘◡˘▰)
I can't wait to read the final season !
I get the feeling some people are discovering Greek mythology through this webtoon. Please don't take this webtoon as an accurate retelling, the story of Psyche and Eros isn't based on rape TTuTT. For now, i like the artwork, but no matter how pretty it is, it doesn't make the story any deeper or more compelling...

It's kind of strange because I actually discovered this story through the novel first, and I absolutely loved it. It was tragic, dark, cruel, and the scenes were incredibly vivid, with a touch of poetry. It even made me cry more than once.
(Spoiler) One example would be the moving-in arc, which is so much more fleshed out in the novel. It takes him forever to settle in. They don't get back in touch right away : we see him gradually becoming friends with the other boy, discovering the streets, feeling stressed about living alone, starting his little vegetable garden. We get access to all his thoughts as he falls asleep thinking about the ML's sleep, when he's scared by the slightest noise while living alone, ML visits him more than once before the two of them reconnect.... (End of spoiler)
All of that was cut from the webtoon. Such a shame. The novel is so much better.
I just can't seem to find what I loved about the novel in the webtoon adaptation. I honestly think it needed a different artist to truly do the novel justice. (⊙…⊙ )

Also I agree!! I find that with darker novels the Manga adaptations are often very bleak. When I read Saturdays master I was blown away by how beautiful and cruel it was. Even tho it was by no means a happy story, their inner conflicts and the way everything was portrayed, even their toxic habits and the way they would hurt each other was very captivating, like watching a car crash you cant look away from. But when I read the Manga I couldn't even finish it cuz it was so cold? There were no emotions, no inner conflicts, just very flat representation of the characters and their relationship. I find that novels are soooo much better and immersive
I read the first 15 chapters in my native language, then went to check out a bit of the rest of the novel in Korean (urg...)
It is truly very very dark. I would have loved it if the horrible scenes weren't so systematically present and so visually explicit. I only like the visual atmosphere, the art direction, and the slow pace of the storytelling. That’s it, it stops there lol. Basically, 1% of the story/webtoon.
The author must have a psychological issue to write such horrors. It is not art to pretend to be some kind of “artist-author” in order to justify rape, unspeakable abuse, and an abyssal emptiness. No, this is not art, nor is it a story.
When I think of a work that deals with trauma and violence, I think of the All for the Game series, where the author makes us understand the horrors experienced by the characters in a brilliant way, without ever describing them explicitly, and that takes nothing away from the horror... quite the opposite. That’s true talent.
Don't waste your time with this webtoon.

Depiction of violence is not an act of violence. Just because the author portrays it, doesn’t mean they support it.
That’s what I would have said until I read the summary for the sequel, Full Bloom. Brother, it gets SO MUCH WORSE. I don’t know if the author has other works but they for sure checked every possible toxic and abusive box out there.

I felt the same way at first, but little by little I realized it was just another webtoon that romanticizes and sexualizes violence without really saying anything meaningful. Some of the scenes are genuinely horrifying.
