heated rivalry is a 2019 released novel lol the series is an adaptation of it sylvaphilia
Koreans don't tend to read English novels unless they are fluent, and no it is not an adaptation, the author made up the story. We're saying this manhwa existed before the TV series, few people even knew the novel existed before the TV series.

Are you being for real, serious, genuine, honest, truthful, sincere, legit, actually serious, not lying, not joking, not kidding, not messing with me, not making this up, telling the truth, being completely honest, being genuine, being sincere, being dead serious, being 100% truthful?

no the book was a tiktok sensation before the tv adaptation came out, sure it made the book even more popular. either way, the point isn't whether koreans "tend to read english novels or not" it's the fact that heated rivalry did come out before melting point and I never said melting point took inspiration from heated rivalry, I'll telling op to get the facts right. there's many services available online to translate books btw but either way it doesn't matter whether koreans tend to read english novels. op did not mention any specific type of heated rivalry, but either way, heated rivalry by itself came out before this manhwa did is all.

okay that still doesn’t rlly change my main point i can admit i was wrong about which one came out first if we’re including the novel, although i was referring to the show since it is by far more popular and relevant rn and i assumed the op who left the comment was referring to it too. either way, the argument was about op claiming melting point was inspired by heated rivalry, which is just not true. besides hockey, the two have completely different plots, characters, dynamics, etc. and as far as i know the author has never stated slop rivalry was an inspiration

Lol not everyone watches Tiktok. You also literally said it was an adaptation of it... Go back and read your comment. Sure but that's a pretty niche thing and not something I would automatically assume the author does. It's not like the English audience is even known for their BL, why would a Korean even bother? Korean BL novels are 1000x better and they have more than just a few best sellers over there. They were doing it before it was cool. If you'd ever like to read some, novelupdates is a good site. There is Eighteen's Bed, Passion, Payback, Codename Anastasia, Exotic Love, Diamond Dust, all really good ones.
I've been sick to my stomach since the day lists got wiped, can't find multiple manwhas i was reading nor can I remember majority of the ones I had saved cause it was hundreds of them
God I’m scared if that happens again because I do not want to lose my list, I’ve been planing to write everything down in my notes for a while now but I’ve been to lazy to do it.
The author tryna pretend like she didn't get some inspo from heated rivalry is funny to me
Inspo??
melting point came out way before heated rivalry did what’re u talking abt???? also there’s zero correlation between the two besides hockey
I knew this would happen eventually lmao (people thinking Heated Rivalry inspired this, even though it was out before it.)
heated rivalry is a 2019 released novel btw not saying melting point is inspired by it but at least get your facts right
