I used to like this a lot, but lately it's kinda bothering me. The ML and the FL are from modern world, but the way they treat the commoners is so elitist. Saying that they make coffee "befitting" their class, so commoners can "play being noble", and taking the workers right to strike?? This is ridiculous. They didn't even talk with the miners to understand why they were striking and now are coercing them to give up their rights.
This would be resolved so easily with other choice of words. For example, they could've said something like: " we are going to make coffee beans with different qualities, so the commoners can afford and the nobles feel special" and " We will treat you right, but would like that you did not strike without speaking with us of your demands before. We can make a Sindicate of workers, so we can talk and make things best for both sides"
Maybe I'm exaggerating, but I have to much class conscientiousness for this.
Consider this: the workers didn’t know why they striked in the first place, they just listened to their leader who they thought they could trust. they have the best work conditions in the field and they got even more benefits now and even made the work environment even safer in the long run.
While I don’t personally agree with taking their right to strike I can see the guild side as well in some ways.
And also, ML and FL are now nobles. While they can think in modern ways between themselves; they are in historical times now, they have to need a certain mindset and harden themselves up. Kindness while appreciative isn’t going to help them get to their goals; I would like to say that some things can get mistranslated, I personally don’t know what the OG Korean text says in the manhwa and translators are human. Maybe “playing noble” isn’t what the OG text says but once again idk
And, this is manhwa. While words are important, comic directions are different. It’s mainly on “show not tell” type of things.

It's just that for me, my morals at that sense are too strong you know? I read a lot of types of stories, with green and red flags, historical and modern settings... And I always try to consider the time, country of the story, traumas and personality of the characters and so on. Usually I'm really forgiving with any story, even if it's shit hahaha But what's icking me a little in this one it's that they're giving the impression that they want to convince us that the ML and the FL are great leaders that are ahead of their time, modernizing a lot of things on the society (like with woman rights), and then they do this like it's awesome?? It kinda looks like the author thinks like this too and it brothers me...
But I will continue to read to see if it's just my impression.
Remember not everyone has to care about the lower class just because they are from the modern world. And I think the phrasing might be due to translation but remember the ML was an elite from birth sho he would think this way. (Unsure of an excuse for the FL lol)
