That ending really hurt, but they put on a good fight until the end, no regrets. But all I wanted was for the team to continue even without the 3rd years too... That's why I'm so upset.
I thoroughly loved the anime too, although it was lacking on character's depth imo, not sure if the manga does that better... Maybe I'll read the manga from the beginning at some point.
Slam dunk is really worth it.
It is for sure! this is my 3rd time reading slam dunk and it still gives me the shivers knowing what's coming next. The ending is satisfying for me, it doesn't drag the plot nor the ending is a ''happy'', it feels like it's a balanced plot because it starts of sakuragi having tremendous power and all this innate talent only for it to be destroyed after hurting his back, same goes with Akagi and Rukawa. It's a simple, realistic-like plot with no extra flashy moves kind of story.
Sighs, I was really enjoying this story till they got together.
The drama and tension was so well done, but they made me hate the vampire so much that I couldn't accept him at the end.
Anyway, I'm only interested about the extras for the human friend and the dragon. The only non hateful couple.
And the second most sad couple :( the dragon did nothing wrong but bad things kept happening to him for no reason :°(
