Hopefully this served as a wake-up call, and the parents start to rethink what's really important.
Do they really think they are doing what's best for him. Not standing up for their own child, sure makes Yuyang feel as if he's being supported. Them not speaking out for when he got bullied and not accepting the way he dresses up sure is giving him a positive mind set while hes growing up. His parents are just being complete cowards
All you said is true, and my comment says nothing against that, either. However, my point stands. They still FEEL and THINK that they're doing what's best for him, because they're conditioned to behave and think a certain way from society and their own upbringing, just like I described.
Change is uncomfortable and confusing. It takes time to build up enough courage to start seeing things for what they are. Furthermore, love is never really unconditional. As far as they are concerned, their son isn't living up to their expectations. So, all that they can do is to alter those expectations, if they feel that their love is stronger than their ideals, and want to keep him in their lives (which hopefully they do).
But yes, it is frustrating to witness, especially considering how common this neglect is in reality.
The pacing of this story is quite refreshing from other yaoi. It doesn't feel forced, even though it cuts to the chase.
Character-wise it's also refreshing. There's proper layering and mystery. Helen isn't that mega-bitch just for the sake of being a bitch either, she feels more as an actual person.
Also the art is very good. I like this!

Could just be because it's been a while since I last read this, but seriously, I can't tell the side-characters apart from each other at all. They even have info-pages about them, but I still have no idea whom is whom, and who is whose friend and so on.
Kaji is really the only character that stands out to me, and that I like. The rest are pretty average. It's quite an alright story, though, if a bit confusing at times (can be the translation, too, I don't know, but sometimes I have no friggin idea what is going on.)
The ending was a little abrupt, but otherwise this was pretty good! The setting and characters are very unique and refreshing, and I also appreciate that it's not too sexualised (I mean how the acts are actually portrayed).
Ok, besides the fact that this situation is really worrisome, as a Motorsport fan I just have to point out, yet again, how I really appreciate the accuracy of all the different terms and procedures concerning the race, the cars, the personnel etc. Those little details are extremely satisfying and wholesome to me.

Yes, I read before that they had experience with racing stalls. It really gives a whole other sense of realism to it when you take from your own experiences!
She definitely lacked some tact in how she re-introduced herself in his life again, that's for sure (in how she left him, too, seeing as he has such a bad memory of it). Actually it felt like quite a discrepancy to reality and the world and how it's built. I mean, who does that, really?
Even so, there could still be a valid reason as to why she wasn't able to care for him back then. Anything between poverty/in debt and mental illness, really. And so, it shouldn't be all that weird that they could get together again - if both parties agrees, of course. They probably will come to a better understanding soon.
