I really liked how he would defend his sister even when he was much younger than her bullying classmate. Or how he would test her boyfriend but then recognized how Kotaro's influence was a positive one for her. Not to mention when he apologized to his new in-laws because he wrestled with the notion of calling them "family". In a nutshell, he had his convictions but he was fair and would rethink things. Furthermore, he'd take a step further and take action about it. Yep, yep, yep! I vote for a story about him and how a romance blossoms for him.(▰˘◡˘▰)

Despite how things ended after Sohae interfered (what's her deal anyway? Her vibe is like pure evil), there are soooo many moments to reminisce....

Why "let's stop this entanglement"? :-(

My husband was getting ready to leave when my eyeballs became as big as saucers when that board member tried to read the sole of director Kang's shoe. She's so totally awesome.

Whenever the stories end I always wish to see the main characters carry on with their lives. What I mean is that I always wish to see when they decide to move in together, when they work towards that end and then when they actually do move in together. Furthermore, I wish to continue to see how they manage through life together. However, most stories end without any of that and I am left with playing out all of those scenarios in my imagination. Chapter 49 of this manga and the chapters leading up to it have made my dream come true. I am in total bliss. :-)

Re-read #4. :-D

It seems that not many have discovered this hidden gem. This story presents itself as if it were gently peeling an onion. At every chapter it reveals another hidden layer. All this is taking place while everyone prepares for their annual, 3 day local celebration. The costumes, the beautiful dance poses, and those wonderful hats makes one wish to be there in real life. Every character has their flaw but they each over come it. So be patient with them as you witness their story. In the end, we may think that we have all the time in the world to be swayed by pride or self-doubt. As this wonderful story reminds all too well, if you can then swallow that pride and take courage to put yourself out there and show your heart. That someone is there now. You haven’t a clue how or when life could snatch them away from you. My take away from “Tsukikage Baby” was to take heart, to be grateful, and to enjoy the now that you do have together. I highly recommend this manga.

Before I read a manga I ALWAYS check for the tragedy tag b/c I must avoid them. I don’t want to cry if I can help it. So, every time that they’ve been hinting that Yiyi is going to die I have been checking the tags. Nope, so far tragedy is not among them. Here’s to hoping.

I wanted to express gratitude for the novel commentaries and clarifications. The pictures are awesome too. I wondered why the manga can’t be a truer representation of the novel. I guess it’s the same when a movie is somewhat different from the original book. However, for some reason I felt that the manga platform would have been more conducive for the details that a movie cannot “afford” to represent. Maybe this goes to show that I am completely off base and mangas, like movies, also have their limitations. This is a great story and I look forward to the upcoming chapters.
