Instead we got a fucking cliffhanger and it's over and were not getting anymore and I js spent all that time to leave unsatisfied. Anyways it was reallly good till that point and the regressor is probs blondie, i might read the novel but idk, this had so much potential so its sad its not finished

Also maybe the varieties of wheat / cereal they used was more flavorful. I have read that over the last century many countries (including France) have focused on using hyper productive crops to reduce costs, even at the expense of taste. Heard it's the same for fruits and other things.

I don't remember where I read this, but by searching just know I saw there are for example articles in National Geographic about the reduction in flavors and in nutrients of various crops, due to certain techniques and selections of modern agriculture. (I wonder if it's the same with animal products). I've tried out some more ancient varieties of tomatoes from an organic seller (bio /AB label in France) and I did find them more tasty, I tend to rather buy those.
I've heard of modifications to make things sweeter while sacrificing the nutrients but it's so odd they'd sacrifice flavour, I'd expect the opposite if they want to keep people coming back, do you know why? Is it like to cut costs?
Like the way he was an ass qt first I thought it was gonna be a pretty toxic story but the way he comforts him goes outside of his comfort zone to do things he doesn't even enjoy to make teddy bear dude happy, simply because he enjoys seeing a smile on his face oml. The literal definition of didn't fall first but fell so much harder. I grew to actually like and root for him which is rare for characters with his impression, usually its I js want the mc to be happy after all they went through but like they worked so well together and I loved the dynamics. rough start but still a 5 imo
it's only 35 chapters so I was like even if it's trash I can probs thug it out, I was wrong I fear, i can tell its only going downhill from here, it's not worth finishing just so I didn't waste my time
idk I'm on ch6 amd it's cute and all but it's like so boring??? idk if I'm just used to something happening which caused my attention span to get buttfucked or wtv but I've read and watched a good deal of slice of life, this just seems less interesting somehow. The mc and the only other 2 characters(I'm calling her friend another character even tho we see her for like 2 scenes and istg there are random bg characters i rmr better than her) introduced feel like they got as much charm and personality as a wet paper towel

How is it half the comments seem to have like the reading comprehension of ppl who never finished elementary school..? I'm almost impressed really. I feel so bad for the author cuz they clearly put work into making the characters feel real, but then we got ppl who only look at the pictures and decide "that one look angry so that one bad" "that one lash out so that one evil" "that one do something I no understand so that one also evil".
Like, so far we've seen one or two characters that (with our limited information) truly seem "bad" (the Prince who was particularly cruel even as a child, though I could honestly argue that he's more stupid than evil. He likely sees her as one in the same with her mother, who he has every right to hate. And her mom: having so little care for your own flesh and blood is unforgivable in my eyes, but I can empathize with some of her actions, like wanting her daughter to be stronger so she can survive. I just feel like she overdoes it.)
If you find yourself feeling any of the other characters are evil, I'd like you to explain, cuz most of what I've seen they're all just victims of their circumstances doing the best they can to survive, yk? When you've been shown time and time again that this is what you need to do not to be mistreated, that's what you'll do. When one of the only 2 people who show you any sort of warmth who you've fallen for only seems to have eyes for another, it only makes sense there would be resentment. She doesn't seem to mistreat thalia cuz of it, even with her misunderstandings of thalias character.
We don't know much about the knight, but he's yet to do anything to thalia. He seems to try to be there for her in any way he can while upholding his duties.
Maybe I'm the one misunderstanding or yall js ragebaiting and I'm slow or sum cuz it's genuinely baffling that people seem to have turned this into a black and white scenario

In one of the chapters he strangles her, and also they get into some fight where he finds out her weakness (her liking varkas) so she tells him that she knows that at night he looks for maids with honey colored hair and blue eyes.. and it was implied he was attracted to her
Also the empress is really bad lol she sees her daughter as a pawn but we already knew that, in the next arc its where Thalia gets seriously injured and we find out it was planned by the empress so she could blame varkas for failing his duty and making him marry Thalia- varkas is such a pookie he loves his wife sm its so cute tbh it could be frustrating at times but u can’t hate varkas nor Thalia…
I was lwk on the fence with the crown prince before but knowing hes acting that way cuz of his own indecent thoughts makes it easier to hate him
The one the brother likes is her mother, not her i think. He wants his own stepmom and thats why Talia taunted him by saying hes just like his father.
