I think it's because of how its drawn. There's less emotions to express in drawing. Ngl, I can sense the vibe of power couple, not romantic couple.

I think it's because while it has romance the story up till now hasn't been mainly focused on romance, and our MCs are people who focus on serious things before freaking out over romance stuff. Other romance stories add in that bit of humor and sappy moments but this story reflects how people in situations like our MCs are in react logically, they didn't have time to gush over each other, or think into every little action, and when they did think about them, they usually had other things to worry about or came to their own conclusions. It's just the story itself that's different compared to others.

they're not the romantic type

FL is a warrior. She was probably taught to suppress her feelings, what good is a damsel in the distress during battle? But even despite that, she also fell for him first and had to hold it in for a long long time (2 years). It's going to take her time to realize that it's ok not to hide anymore because not only is she not alone now, shes has him backing her up always but he's head over heels with her. They'll get there eventually. She'll never be like Dorothy or other one obviously, but that's part of what he likes about her anyhow.
