Before trying to be an ass when correcting someone else’s spelling, you should fix your own.

Okay. So I'm going to say something that will probably piss off people but here I go.

For me, Kagami and Shingo's relationship isn't healthy.
The fact that Kagami never listen to Shingo's requests annoys me so freaking much. He just does whatever he wants and in the end it's Shingo who's hurt. (More than once he said "it hurts" because they were doing it too much + the after-sex pains in the butt and hips)
Another thing that bothers me is that Shingo is unable to really reject Kagami, even when he really doesn't want to do it.
So in fact, the problem here is the way the author portrays their characters. Kagami is the seme, the dominant (emphasis on dominant) so he's free to do whatever he wants and Shingo is the uke, the submissive (emphasis on submissive) so he just has to obey every word of Kagami, his opinion doesn't matter. Seriously, when I read some of their sex scenes, if I didn't know who they were and that they love each other, I would think that it's (almost) a rape scene!

Anyways, this is why I don't think their relationship is healthy. Sure they love each other, no doubt about that. And some will probably say that if they act the way they do it's because they love each other too much. But that's not a valid reason to me. There's no valid reason to not listen to your partner and just do whatever the hell you want. A relationship can be healthy only when both partners listen to each others and when opinion from both partners matter.

Yes of course, I do realise it's just fictional - and I have read muuuch more unhealthy relationships than this one, but I dunno.. I really like this serie and the fact that all this unhealthy thing is so romanticised disappoints me a little I guess..
But yeah, I'll continue to read it and also hope that they'll overcome it.

    Asuka Hana October 2, 2017 1:50 am

Well seriously NO OFFENSE to you but that pov is just your opinion after all (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ you made such a detailed analysis but did u maybe think that shingo doesn't actually dosent actually hate being done all that to him and shingo Is a strong minded person you must also know abt this so of he really hated or didn't like Tha being done to him he d definitely tell keiichi to stop plus I don't think keiichi would do some that would hurt shingo in any way.. and what I think that you are calling "a unhealthy relationship" is probably a guy unconsiously goes and does all that his lover asks/does him because they are just that much in love... After all you'd do anything to make the person you love most in the world smile ヾ(☆▽☆)....
And again SERIOUSLY NO OFFENSE TO YOU.

    BerikLovr October 2, 2017 2:10 am

I completely agree with you. I keep reading cause I like a few things of the story and there're some good scenes of them having sex but..from the beginning their relationship started with Kagami raping Shingo so..yes, it's unhealthy and I don't agree with ppl that say that it's ok cause "it's fiction" I mean, even fiction is a reflect of our society...but well.

It's true that it's just my opinion, and I guess a lot of other people have another interpretation.
I don't think Shingo hates being done at all, you can see that he takes a lot of pleasure in being done too. But the thing that annoys me is that his requests are never taken into account. An exemple of it in the last chapters: he asked Kagami not to put it in but offered a bj instead. But Kagami was all "nope nope nope I want to put it in so I'm putting it in." I just think it's really unfair for Shingo.. :/

And don't worry, I know you mean no offense, I mean no offense too~
People can have different opinions and talk about it with each other without any offence. (=・ω・=)

    Thanks for agreeing. :3
About the "it's fiction" argument, well tbh I think I can understand why people say that. Putting a barrier between fiction and reality is important. I can accept a hell lot of things in fiction that I absolutely can't accept in reality.
So I guess I can accept this argument but still wanted to give my opinion on this matter. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I agree...I get pissed whenever kagami doesn't listen when shingo says no... Even though it fiction, I still wanna read a healthy relationship in yaoi even if it isn't real but I guess people will disagree with me

    Vampire Queen October 2, 2017 7:58 am

For me I see their relationship as always being something like that of a Dom and Sub relationship. So if you read this manga in that context it actually makes sense.

Luna (previously Anonimo) October 2, 2017 2:24 pm

What's fascinating about yaoi and any other way of "artistic expression" in a fiction mode is that you can create whatever you may think it'll work for some people, especifically with "kinky tastes". What I really like about this universe is 1) there are werecats that can transforms in insanely hot dudes, 2) an "agressive relationship" (that's how Sakyo Sensei has always defined their dinamics since day one) between a leopard and a housecat, 3) and how well and more importantly constant are her characters portrayed in all the five volumes, according with the premise that one is a leopard and the other a stray cat (both felines, playful, capricious, agressives, possesives, one of them a natural hunter and dangerous...). I personally love this story in the context I've detailed before.

Shingo always says no, but the moment Keiichi says let's stop (once seriously, 99 times because he knows Shingo will always wants it) said kitten immediately starts to sulk/protest and even calls Keiichi "impotent" because that's their play ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I don't have much time reading yaoi but one thing I can tell, this way of express some kind of art is by no means a way to portray reality. Some stories (very few) are very mundane and very sweet and are called yaoi because there are explicit scenes between men, and others (very few) explore serious matters but the majority of what we can find and read are very fiction, very kinky and 100% untrue. What is good is that there's a lot to pick and for every taste and that's fine by me.

I really liked what you said about the portrayal of the manga! I feel like Kagami is forcing Shingo but to open up as a person... If Kagami wasn't as, lets say, "demanding" as he has always been, the story would've been finished before the first chapter, because Shingo wouldn't allow it.

Now that you mentioned, yes, if it wasn't for Keiichi's persistence it would have been "0" progress in their relationship. And ironically it has been that aloof way of Shingo to be that that caught Keiichi's attention in the first place, since he was used to how people were mesmerized only by his presence. So yeah, 100% with you ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I just really REALLY love them PERIOD ( ̄∇ ̄") for me there are perfect for each other in their unique universe.

    Vampire Queen October 3, 2017 6:45 am

I totally agree with Luna (previously Anonimo) and Nekochwan. And I will further say and no offense, but it's been 6 volumes so far and Keiichi and Shingo's relationship has made a lot of progress. So why critic now? Their relationship may not be ideal in your opinion but it does work for them. You see Shing as some submissive guy who only caters to Keiichi's will, but you don't give Shingo the credit he deserves and yes he is docile when it comes to Kei but it's mostly because he really does want what Kei does to him, his protests are more half-hearted and he does really put his foot down when there is something he is totally not satisfied with.

Shingo's current personality is a result of what he needed in life, if you read the first three volumes again you will see that the biggest changes in his personality happen here (even Kei does a lot of character growth in these volumes). Shingo has always been a seme, he has always been the one in control of all his previous relationships, this is due to his fear of being abandoned and his emotional trauma relating to having to rely on others totally.

His relationship and dependence on Kei shows how much he has grown and gotten over his issues, he gives Kei control of their relationship in acceptance of the bond they have and his realization that it's ok to give Kei control. This shows Shingo's trust and love in Kei.

Keiichi is a totally possessive guy who was ultra jealous of anyone who came in contact with Singo, he over the series grows to trust Shingo more and accept that he will have others in his heart besides him.

Again I mean no offense it all just my opinion based on the events as I saw in the manga (▰˘◡˘▰)
