Sorry but this is more like a ‘parallel life’ rather than a ‘past life’….
It is a past life though, if it was parallel it’d be two completely different people - they would’ve just been doppelgängers
In parallel lives is the same people, but different outcomes.
Past lives is when you die and reincarnate again. So you can’t be born to the same people, with the same name, working in the same company, with the same brother, etc, because all of those ppl have died and reincarnated as someone else as well. Or at least they have aged. Time passes, which means if you were born on 2000’s and died on 2025, then you’ll reincarnate as a new person after 2025. You cannot be born again in the past and repeat the same thing with the same people. Unless there’s a ‘time jump’ or something. A past life is in the past, that’s why is called a ‘past’ life.

I have been going around typing 'past life' '2nd life' but 'parallel life' as the concept is way more accurate to the story
I think I'll be using '2nd life', '1st life' ,and 'current life' more from now on
than least accurate 'past life' in this context
