I like the impact and art style of this manga, but ultimately I have a really hard time enjoying stories of trauma that are just superficial and sensationalized just for entertainment. I think complex concepts like rape, abuse, and stockholm syndrome deserve to be way more developed, nuanced, and intricate to truly represent the spectrum of trauma. Killing stalking just takes every sterotypical trope we since before in film and media, ie depressed mother, sexually assaulted son, abusive father, and stalking victum, just to exaggerated it for the point of violence and homoerotoicism, which I find to be ill mannered to a lesser extent and straight up offensive to a greater extent.
!!!!!!!!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!!!!!!!!
