I'm watching the adaptation. It's fun, but I have no idea why they're allergic to at least making the characters faithful to their originals. I'm most disappointed in Hanrim - her LA is funny and awkward in a cute way, but far from the badass one we know from here.
Still, I'll keep watching and enjoying myself witnessing brats and stupid adults getting whooped (▰˘◡˘▰)
I thought the same about hanrim! Her LA acts more similar to Sera's personality which is wild and crazy (in a good way hahaha)
I was also watching the LA, but it has been so long that I've stopped reading the manhwa , don't even remember where I left but I'm quite confused about the character of Deputy Bong . Like is it only in LA or is introduced later in the manhwa ? If yk?
Deputy bong is a LA original character. I spent way more time than i wanna admit trying to find him in the webcomic

But anyway, the story is entertaining, the characters are very much likeable and the setting is at least trying to be real world accurate. The Earl is not an ass, Madelyne is not stupid, the side characters are fun and actually play roles in the story. Very good read

I get what you mean since a lot of stories tend to overuse this type of trope and try to forcefully push it out of nowhere, but I honestly think it's alright in this case seeing as they kept implying that he's met her before and has been in love for a long time, so them having met before he became a paladin makes sense, they even said that she's the very reason he joined the order in the first place

Are you expecting him to be a gentleman??? When we first started the manhwa it's very clear how this man will act. He is IMPULSIVE. But he gets better in a sense that he sort of listens to Lee Yeon. He manipulates her to a certain extent but Lee Yeon also sort of consented to it. It's a struggle between fear and wanting his warmth.
Never said I expect him to be anything, it makes sense that he's confused and spinning.
What I'm saying is: THIS is the moment we're getting them together like that? With THESE emotions? With THIS kind of unfinished conversation and hurt?
It's a story - the author is in full control of what's happening. Weird choice to pick circumstances and mood like these and expect us feel excited about it.
