Guys are you missing the year...? Do people really not realize that black people WERE SLAVES IN THOSE TIMES? It's not racism from the author, it was NORMAL back then and she portrayed the racism of these times even lighter than a normal ranch owner would treat his slaves. If you were to read a story like this there would be racism too - and the guy proudly saying his a slave? He can aswell find it as some kind of value for himself or who knows - it might have been a joke saying even, because THERE WERE PEOPLE WITH WEIRD SHIT IN THEIR HEADS AND I CAN BET YOU - some white people were fantacising about this shit too back in the day. (English is not my first so don't bite-)
terrible, I dropped it after chapter 12, I don't understand why the authors give the theme of assault so often. This guy is toxic, he got attached to the main character because he was nice to him, and he constantly threatens to kill himself, and then he assaults the MC. what does it matter that the main character liked it later, at first he didn't want it SO IT'S STILL SA. total shit
