have the same problem with others. they need to stop comparing him with his brother.
not to mention, in the first place, i have a lot of problem with telling kakeru not to give up football for his brother after he died and give away his heart. imagine how kakeru feels? why give this burden to a middle schooler who just recovered from an accident that took away his brother's live?
why do everyone hoping there is no romance? is it that bad? i love romance as a subplot!! it adds a bit of spice~
I think it true that if the genre is action, they only want action. Romance is romance and so forth. Also, them dropping a very good manga because the ML/FL is slow or red flag, but never considered the chara growth, the element of fantasy, fiction imbued to it. Its the imagination of the creator. In a way, you are reading someone else’s world so just take it with a grain of salt. It’s getting worse nowadays. The chara MUST act in the audience kinda way for them to read it or they droppin it. You read it illegally and have the AUDACITY to say dropping this bye Just drop it cause you didn’t even contribute ANYTHING to the creator. Long rant cause I hate seeing all these stupid comment.
Well what I meant to say, we as a reader must also be a responsible reader. I know excessive romance in an action manhua is a major turn off to some people. But the bigger issue I wanted to point out how some people dropping unreasonable comments like dropping it just cause it has romance when the manhua is not yet at its peak? I just felt tremendously sad when I read those comments. Its just that, you may your own opinion but a fictional character is a fiction and thats up to the creator ( good or lausy creator) to decide what chara they want to do. Idk what im even sayin
yeah, i get what you saying. i agree. just because of few bad crops doesn't mean every one of them is bad. somehow these days, these people make it sounds like romance in a non-romantic-centric stories = the story will be bad/the plot will be overshadowed. like if a female character shows even the slightest interest in the mc, people in the comment already going "istg if there is romance, i'll drop this.".
and with annoying characters, we as reader just have to suck it up lmao. if the plot and other aspect of the story is good, why should i drop them just because of this one character. and as you said, there is a possibility that these characters grew as the story goes.
but well, at the end of the day, each to their own. you read stories for your own enjoyment. if you don't enjoy it then it's fine. i just hope this stereotype dissappear a bit because there is a lot of good stories with romance in it. if you kept dropping a story because there is romance, you might miss some masterpiece.
some romance just ends up being bad when they end up writing female characters that doesn't have a role other than being a romantic interest and fixated on the main character and ends up having way too much screentime away from the main plot because "damsel in distress" cliche subplot i personally don't hate it when the female character is actually interesting though romance gives the characters more personality and makes them more endearing ngl
Because almost always in stories like these, the romance is reduced to cheap harem and it's actually so disrespectful to the female readers. Easy asian stories( be it korean, Japan, China) mostly carter to male audiences that they think get off of harems which is so disrespectful to both the genders.
i'm not ready... i don't think i'll ever will... fuck... this arc, and the next one, and the next one...
