Hey, I'm gay and I love reading yaoi. Well... it's more like love/hate relationship, but I still mostly really enjoy reading it. Of course there are mangas that have rape in them and yeah, some people normalize it (which is totally disgusting), but isn't it the same with straight "literature"? Ughh I'm gay and luckily I have wonderful parents and brother that accept me, but it doesn't mean that I haven't heard some really terrible stuff. When I was deep in the closet, I talked about the LGBT with one of my cousins. I have to add that when we both were children, we were very VERY close. I read A LOT!! Well, lately maybe not so much, because of work I don't have much time, but still if I could, I'd spend whole day only reading BL. Also I don't really consider myself as fudanshi and I don't read it only because of sex or pretty guys :)   1 reply
