Why does this feel like the last 30 chapters are all epilogue because nothing is happening

Cuz I do… when you married him he was a terrible husband… but right now he’s a sad, lonely, abused little boy. She’s treating him like the adult he grew into rather than what he is in the moment and it’s aggravating.
