Its really interesting to me how many ace people are in this thread and like yaoi/shounen ai. I would not have guessed there was so many of us! I am panromantic asexual, though normally I just tell people I am ace and avoid the whole topic of romantic vs sexual attraction.

First Anime was either Dragonball or Sailor Moon, however I was never a dragonball fan, it would have been because my mom enjoyed it. Sailor moon I went out of my way to catch it on TV when I was a teenager. God the dubs were bad, but i didnt know any better at the time!

As for me, I am 35, female, and from the usa. I would define myself panromantic, asexual and into the D/s lifestyle (domme).
I would say that I tend to enjoy shounen ai slightly more than yaoi but as long as there is some sort of coherent story I am good. I ended up getting into the genre jus...... 1 reply
