As much as i see and agree with both your arguments, we still have to think that this is haebom here and he thinks that his own being is a burden to all his loved ones since childhood, it's deep rooted, and sure yes he learned how to open up with taesung but from his perspective he's trying his best to protect everyone involved by running away and not being in their lives. Not the best at all and totally avoidable but that's his character the author decided to go with I guess ╥﹏╥
