Everyone was defending Ophelia before but she didn't seem like a good person just because she was going to fix the issues that are her on fault doesn' make her a good person white deserves to be forgiven, mind you alicia already fixed the issues that matter the most by assuring the prosperity of her only living family and sacrificing her pride and happy married life.
YEAH! Alicia did the heavy lifting, and Ophelia straight up could have STAYED with Alicia in her basement hiding instead of the other house...in the basement...
Or like tell Alicia she'll be hiding from the creepy man but in a nearby woods so that Alicia can retrieve her once.... Alicia has a basement ready...

The reason why no one is discussing the man's fault is because his fault is clear there and several comments back alicia and ophelia's relationship has become the focus of the story. Ophelia also did something wrong and she is not posed as a villian or questioned in the story for that, women should not be able to dodge accountability because a man is also doing something worse in the world.
It's fair to insist on the creepy man's actions because there has been no restitution for Alicia—herself, her family, her home, we're all collateral damage in the creepy man seeking out Ophelia's holy magic. Yes, Ophelia shouldn't have run away, yes Ophelia should'nt have even tried saving the creepy man in the first place—but she was a naive child. That creepy man? Fully aware of everything he was doing. Knew dismembering Alicia and using her limbs to get Ophelia's attention would work.
Even if the story has become about Alicia and Ophelia's relationship, Alicia still has unfinished business with the creepy man. The cycle of trauma and violence started with him. Not Ophelia. You don't want to heal from shallow words, you want to get to the root of it. The wounds may close on top, but it's still festering inside. Alicia trying to get at Ophelia is her trying to get something lost because of the creepy man, and I know it's going to be FIRE when Alicia gets her hands on Ophelia and realize that deep deep inside, she isn't healed. She isn't better, even if she's got a home now, a family, a guild. And perhaps, Ophelia might be the key to healing—afterall, Alicia can't use holy magic without thinking about Ophelia. The best way for Ophelia to take responsibility is by pulling up and asking Alicia what she needs of her, NOT lurk in the shadows to protect Alicia without Alicia's input, without asking. This does not give Alicia agency.
