i agree that placeholder updates can be annoying sometimes - idk why this series has three of them instead of just one. ideally the new placeholder is posted on the same day the chapter is updated… but that just doesn’t always happen.

as for the bots posting automatically, this definitely does happen. there are a lot of reasons why people like to use the placeholders. if a bot takes an official chapter from a different site and the pages are out of order, poor quality, missing, etc… there’s no way for someone to fix them without posting a new chapter entirely, which means duplicate chapters and duplicate updates anyway. for some very popular series, people will sometimes post (both good and bad) fan translations, even though the officials are being released or if people are trying to follow a specific group’s tls. it can make a mess of the order of chapters (which does affect the reading experience) or make it hard to track which chapter you last read.

ultimately it’s used for a cleaner and more consistent reading experience

The automatic uploads only really happen on popular series like this one. I personally appreciate the placeholders so we get quality translation instead of some crappy translation done on the fly. Quality over speed

i used to work in scans and i would mainly post chapters on other sites (the dex one and the one that starts with b). every chapter ended up here.

it’s been a while since i’ve tried, but i had so many issues posting on this site directly that it was often simpler and faster to just let the bots take our chapters from other sites, rather than post here personally.

Yeah, I know he's not meant to be likeable, never disagreed with you on that, just saying I find him annoying rather than evil, and yeah he's a man baby, he will never mature even if he wasn't in high school

Disliking him and talking about it is not a problem and I never said it was :D I also find him annoying, but i recognise it's his role as a character here. It's just saying that the manhwa is bad because of things that are 1) expected 2) the premise of the narrative... Is pretty funny to me.

There's a difference between this and saying: " wow this horror movie made me so scared!" Or even "wow this horror movie might have been too scary for me, not my cup of tea", which are reasonable statements.

But when someone says "this horror movie sucks cause it's too scary!", it's just funny.

And he keeps growing! Chapter ago he was a bit shorter, first chapter he was a whole head shorter than him and now he's basically the same height. Very apparent what traits we find undesirable ;)
