i legit just go to every manga ive read n check if its updated or not ...
You can go to the "Last Updates" tab at the top of the homepage. It won't show your specific followed manga updates, but you'll at least get to see what has been updated.

Shut the fuck up. There are some people who have a lot more than 100 mangas on their Currently Reading List - how are we supposed to remember all of the titles (mostly in Japanese) or cover pictures?
My manga updates aren't working either... it's frustrating because a lot of the time the cover art changes, and then I can't tell if I've read it or not.
covers are a dead give away. if everytime you read a manga and not even the cover reminds you of a story you've been reading, then i doubt youll remember the plot of said cover.
True, I don't remember most mangas until I re-read the end of the previous/ last chapter - guess what, I still like them and want to be updated! :-O
I have read hundreds of mangas, there's no way I can keep track of everything like that
