Maybe the level of burn caused by vampirism are affected by level, Simon is probably a lower level vampire compared to Aki and Haru.
It seems out of character that Seyhuk ultimately decided not to reveal his past (how he DIDN'T hate Hamin) and how he orchestrated all of this. Like sure Hamin would be mad but when was he never pissed off by Seyhuk and no one got *seriously* hurt from his schemes.
