This is truly an interesting story. It’s a very convincing possibility if humanity were to gain immortality. I mean humans already segregate based on race, gender, religion, status, wealth, appearance and more. It’s like we can’t function without setting everything into categories and discriminating those who are any different from ourselves because nobody likes to be or admit they are wrong so we force our opinions and views on eachother which only results in an unstoppable force and an unmovable object.
