Assuming all monsters are bound by some school rule, which rule did Yerim break? Supposedly you can go to the bathroom during recess.

Edit: I just corrected the title and all the responses got deleted, sorry .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·.

My last reply:

"I put the title wrong, it's chapter 10. I think the determining factor isn't time, but rather looking directly into the mirror. When the group enters, the mirror already has four non-human figures on the other side, imitating the students, BUT none of them look at the mirror and nothing happens, so they can't attack. But Yerim is left alone and looks at the mirror, her reflection distorts and traps her (urban legend) and her evil dopplegänger comes out. The real trigger is looking into the mirror so the entity can activate. We don't know if the condition is that you are ALONE, since the mirror already had the entire group prepared, waiting for them to look."

Maybe the monster's a distorted popular urban legend in their school. Sometimes urban legends have their rules/conditions too, not just school rules

probably don't stay in the bathroom too long

I'd forgotten about urban legends. This one might have been about portals in mirrors or haunted mirrors; if your image is distorted, an evil doppelganger might be unleashed.

I think that's a lore of a ghost in a bathroom. Some monsters or anomalies as i liked to call it, are also created from ghost stories, like in the earlier episode when some students heard from the speaker that they had to proceed outside, and then suddenly they died and hypnotized to fall in line. then later on blue eyed guy from team 1 hears the same thing from the speaker and told his group that maybe it was from the ghost in the broadcast or something. So yeah, that's probably it (sorry I'm weak with names) i think that's right? That's based on how I read this ┗( T﹏T )┛
