if i remember correctly, jiwook tries to run away again and asks his friend for help, i don't remember how it gets to that point (i think because of the friend) but the group that gangraped jiwook get to him and do it again, but this time with the friend and juyeon watching, and while jiwook is getting raped and crying juyeon FINALLY explains to him why he's doing this to him and what jiwook did in the past, jiwook is in denial at first and even asks his friend if he believes that but the friend doesnt reply because he realizes that yeahhhhh that might actually have happened. then jiwook ends up in the hospital and juyeon visits him and tells him that it's finally over and he'll never see him again because he completed his revenge. but jiwook isn't ready to let him go so he asks him to stay together or something like that? point is they end up together LOL it's a twisted happy ending owo i know juyeon becomes nicer but i don't think their relationship is fully "healthy" (even if it was it still wouldn't be since he "broke" jiwook) like juyeon still "punishes" jiwook when he gets mad but overall their relationship improves because they're both somewhat obsessed and codependent on each other :p

The thing is that the author is doing it to flesh out Saha as a character regardless of your preferences, we barely know anything about him, just that he knew both Hajin and Uijin for a long time. So, the side couple story is actually inseparable from the main plot/conflict, that's why they're in the main story now. A lot of people are saying they don't care about him, but they should if they appreciate the story as a whole. At least care about the way he, the main antagonist, is written.

Both Hajin and Yunseong already have solid foundation as the protagonists – their personalities are easy to get attached to – so, it would be ridiculous if the main antagonist was written so carelessly. Of course there are other ways to make a character shine, but at the end of the day, the author chose to include someone who has emotional connection to him and could rattle him up, just like Yunseong is to Hajin. So, people shouldn't immediately whine and complain when we were barely introduced to them. We don't even know if Saha and Uijin will get together in the main story or side stories. Just let the author do the job first, wait it out. If it turns out to be worth criticizing, then go ahead.
