Personally speaking the story was really good but a bit too rushed. A few more chapters would've made it perfect.

Charin's actually the leader of the black dogs because of his bravery and charisma that even Hyehan agrees upon. When no other kid in the group was brave enough to fight back against the crook,Charin took the first step. Even Jin was ready to be sold by crook. He might not have the best personality but he is a layered and a deep character.
