I highly recommend the Novel before reading this spoilers but please do try the Novel.
As of now Dane and Grayson will be mostly enemies, then later Grayson sleeps with every woman in firefighter department and he doesn't find his fated mate and wants to quit the job but ashley warns him not to quit and somehow he starts suspecting Dane and realises Dane is the dominant Omega from his chest lol. Grayson asks directly to Dane are you a dominant Omega for no apparent Dane gets pissed and kidnaps Grayson with the help of Joshua but Grayson tricks Dane and escapes and traps Dane in a Mansion built by Ashley to trap Koi, but Grayson uses the mansion to trap Dane. Grayson asks Dane to sleep with him only once so he can confirm but Dane refuses and dw Grayson never forced himself he wants consent more than anything, eventhough he is crazy he knows he shouldn't do bad stuff or rape type of things. Nonetheless Grayson gets raped by Dane -Dane gets his heat cycle and doesn't have his suppressants and rapes Grayson, grayson actually begs Dane to let him go but Dane doesn't and yeah Grayson is raped FYI Dane is the bottom. Grayson then actually starts to realise he is in love with Dane but Dane keeps trying to sleep around and then Dane house gets into fire when Dane wasn't at home, Grayson was scared that Dane will be sad and depressed if darling (Dane's cat) dies so he risks his life and saves the cat. This makes Dane have a huge soft spot for Grayson than later Grayson asks Dane to date him for 3 months and if Dane doesn't come to love him he can leave him and Grayson will disappear completely from Dane's life. Dane agrees and after a while Grayson dropping Dane to the motel bcse Dane house was burnt down (Grayson did offer Dane to stay with him at Graysons house but Dane refuses), Dane be trying to sleep with people eventhough they are trial dating but Grayson prevents all of them, and one day while dropping Dane back to the motel and make sure Dane is safely returned when he was returning Grayson was attacked (it was a sketchy neighborhood where the motel located), When Dane gets to know Grayson got hurt bcse he dropped Dane all the time he feels guilty and starts living with Grayson so that Grayson doesn't get hurt and promises not to sleep around till the 3 months end. Btw just so u know Grayson is ready to bottom for Dane - the dominant Alphas won't feel anything in the back and it will just hurt but he is ready as long as it's Dane, then later Grayson does some hilarious stuff it's funny honestly and one day Grayson tries to pry in Dane's past and trauma after bad fire incident while they were clearing which makes Dane get angry, Grayson just wanted to help and be usefull for Dane but yeah Dane starts ignoring Grayson. And Grayson Pheremones are accumulated to the max and he doesn't wanna sleep with anyone but Dane and he wants injection but Steward (doctor) is not there he takes a shot somehow and returns home he is on the verge on going into a coma due to the Pheremones and Dane sees it and couldn't bear to see Grayson like that and asks Grayson y didn't sleep with the omegas, Grayson says he doesn't wanna sleep with anyone but Dane. Yeah so Dane sleeps with Grayson this time and they go at it for days I presume and after this incident Dane goes super soft for Grayson and he starts to understand Grayson even more and slowly starts teaching Grayson about emotions and stuff it was cute and there is some cute drama with keith and yeonwoo, like an article saying Grayson and Dane are in a relationship and Dane is also in a relationship with Yeonwoo which pisses of Keith a lot and goes bonkers against Grayson but Grayson is like idc stop pestering Dane and get out lol. Then koi meets Dane and absolutely loves Dane sm and wants his son and Dane to settle down together, Ashley does warn Dane about Grayson and to be careful of Grayson and says he can't feel emotions he also learns that Ashley had almost strangled Grayson to death he gets an idea Grayson went through abuse but Grayson doesn't realise he went through abuse but yeah Grayson done some stuff but never meant to hurt anyone Dane understands it and starts to support Grayson after this. Dane also like before itself he would have realised some incidents that Grayson doesn't know how to feel emotions and feeling sad for him and help him, After this he teaches hum emotions and tells Grayson to not shown fake smile or emotions infront of Dane only show he raw self he wants to see Grayson raw face, yes ik ur in love with Grayson Dane lol. They become close and chummy and nice but when the time is gonna end, Grayson assumes Dane is in love with Grayson or atleast he will stay with him (btw Dane is in love but doesn't wanna acknowledge and doesn't wanna realise) Grayson prepares a super huge feast and brings flowers and proposes Dane, Dane guts are twisted and feeling super hurt he doesn't wanna reject such a cute person but he cannot love also (that's what Dane thinks he can never love), for the first time in his life Dane actually tells someone aka Grayson about his past being abused by his mother and how bcse of the trauma he cannot love anyone and so he ends the relationship with Grayson. Grayson is absolutely devastated but he keeps his promise he quits and disappears from Danes life completely. Dane is in a very slumpy and melancholic state without Grayson and Obv Grayson is in depression. Then Ezra using Dane's name kidnaps Grayson (poor Grayson he willingly gets kidnapped bcse he is scared if Ezra gets hurt Dane will be sad ), Grayson is abused and beaten, burnt with cigarette marks and stuff in the Cult that kidnapped him for days. Joshua hates Dane and Grayson dating and when they were talking and confronting Dane about why he is dating Grayson and stuff (FYI Joshua is hired by Ashley to protect Dane), they hear Grayson is missing and Dane completely panics and finds Ezra with Joshua and they track down Grayson and he literally goes mad when he sees Grayson being hurt and feels super pain seeing Grayson hurt and seeing how innocently Grayson asks "am I a good boy". Yeah Dane saves Grayson but stays there to defuse a bomb bcse there was a Village and Knocks out Grayson and tells Joshua to keep Grayson safe and tries to defuse it he does but a small bomb exploded and in the crossfire Dane is there and he is almost dead and very small chance of saving. Grayson almost on the verge of dying because he is so worried for Dane, that Grayson might kill himself if Dane dies, so Koi uses his pheremones and saves Dane which has healing properties and then after that Dane might have gone blind which Grayson actually wanted because if Dane goes blind he will rely on Grayson more and Dane won't risk his life for other people, but koi saves Dane eyes also with his pheremones. After recovery he wants to be with Grayson lowkey but doesn't know it and they go to Disney land and there Grayson breaks up with Dane and Dane is left in complete shock and Grayson says goodbye and never to meet again, Grayson breaks up because Grayson wants to kill Dane so that Dane won't risk his life to save other people and he cannot bear to see Dane dying alone or jumping into danger so if he kills him and himself they both can be together in death but yeah he feels it's not love and the feeling is super dirty and that he doesn't love Dane . Dane is completely taken back and goes into huge depression he doesn't wanna do anything, he doesn't wanna sleep with others and he doesn't, he is just completely numb now and bored with depression and just becomes numb, some months goes by He still missed Grayson every minute, he almost remembers him everytime, then one day he hears a News that a Miller was shot and gets scared that Grayson was shot so he runs and was alone at the door of Grayson house he doesn't know who to contact to know about Grayson he calls everyone like Joshua and Grayson but no one picks up he becomes scared and fully in dilemma he wants to see Grayson badly and his whereabouts he is going crazy and waits outside the door curled up for Grayson or any news and he sees Grayson infront him who just returned from east coast they talk for a while while Dane is fussing over Grayson if he is hurt or not and turns out the one who got shot was chase so he feels relief and Grayson warns Dane again this time that even if he died don't come looking for him and Dane is pale as hell he doesn't know how to react and is scared that Grayson will actually die and returns he is just super depressed, both Grayson and Dane would have lost weight. Yeah in a fire and bomb accident while trying to save a woman Dane is injured he does the save the person but he is on verge of death and trapped inside the building and there he realises he is in love with Grayson in his last moments and that time Grayson comes and save Dane that time Dane confesses his love to Grayson and they together the end. There are side stories after this which are some cute stuff like Dane getting Gifts for Grayson.
UPDATE: AND THE FIRST RUN IS DONE!!
From here on out Mgo should make several runs to load everyone's data correctly and apply bug fixes, so dont worry if your list is still missing some. A full second pass could push it to Feb 4–5, but a partial cleanup run would likely finish around Feb 2–3.
Most of the current issues should fix themselves after the full restoration process is done. Its best to give it at least 2 weeks from now. If after everything finishes and youre still seeing clear errors in your marked mangas, report them to [email protected]
If possible, keep a small log of your observations and what you did, such as:
⠀⠀⠀*whether you re-added, edited, or deleted mangas during restoration
⠀⠀⠀*any repeated issues (random logouts, missing notifs, errors, etc.)
⠀⠀⠀*the other specific errors you noticed
Simply put, keep a log of WHAT YOU DID/OBSERVED and WHEN (use GMT or if in your local time, specify your timezone). The more specific your report is, the easier it is for the devs to trace what went wrong. It helps them replicate your actions so they can actually find and fix the problem

Let me start by saying that everything Im sharing comes from spending many years on this site, observing patterns across multiple accounts, and reading user reports. Im not the dev, mod, or admin but Ive had experience with systems which is why I can answer your “whys” and “what ifs”
THIS IS THE SITUATION
Jan19 - Bto closes
⠀⠀⠀*start of traffic surge to Mgo
⠀⠀⠀*some features have slowed down a bit
Jan24 - Mgo goes down
⠀⠀⠀*caused by backend updates or overloaded servers
Jan26 - Mgo comes back up
⠀⠀⠀*site is online again but very buggy: missing lists, random logouts, slow pages, no notifications, etc
⠀⠀⠀*this is when the system started gradually restoring lists
WHY IS THE SITE SO BUGGY
- Mgo uses separate parts for different things. One to SAVE your manga data (aka database/the memory), another one to DISPLAY your saved Manga data (aka UI/what you see), and another one for your browser/session data (aka cookies, login state, etc/this also connects the database and ui). When everything is working properly, these three systems stay in sync (eg. when you save a manga, it will show up in your list right away)
The system will communicate with Database, like hey this is the user that logged in go tell UI the things they should display. So Database will tell UI, like hey based on what's given to me, these are the saved data that belongs to this user, these are what you should display. HOWEVER, because of the gradual restoring of lists (which puts a heavy load on the site), the System, UI, and Database are not able to communicate properly, so theyre not in sync. This is why we’re encountering the issues
I DON'T GET NOTIFICATIONS
- since the System, UI, and Database are not in sync, Mgo cant correctly link your acc to your saved mangas so notifs dont show up/update properly. This is temporary and should be fixed when the system is in sync again
WHY DO I KEEP GETTING LOGGED OUT
- Mgo keeps track of your login/session info. But if this isnt tracked properly, Mgo may log you out randomly/repeatedly
WHERE DID MY LIST GO
- Your mangas are not deleted. Theyre still saved in the database. Mgo is gradually restoring everyone’s list from the oldest to most recent marked mangas. Follow this post to get notified about updates: https://www.mangago.me/home/mangatopic/21092806/
WILL I GET MY LIST BACK
- YES. Do note that while your list is coming back, you might notice some things are off:
⠀⠀⠀*all mangas going into Already Read even if theyre originally marked as Want to read or Reading
⠀⠀⠀*deleted mangas showing up again
⠀⠀⠀*missing notes/summaries
⠀⠀⠀*only rated mangas showing for some users
(I can explain why but it will be too long for this FAQ. idk how to explain without sounding too technical so i might also have to explain the basic terms. You can ask in the comments if youre curious)
I ADDED NEW MANGAS TO MY EMPTY LIST, WILL IT OVERWRITE THE OLD ONE
- if you ADD NEW mangas while the site is restoring, your new list will stay. And your original list will be added back on top of it once its fully restored. But if you RE-ADD EXISTING mangas, it will update the original date of when the manga was added, tags, and summaries/little notes you originally had for it. its usually best to wait and let the restoration finish before making lots of changes
WHY DO OTHERS HAVE THEIR MANGAS BACK ALREADY, WHILE MINE IS STILL MISSING
- think of this like we're reading through a giant BOOK of everyone’s manga list, arranged by the exact time each manga was added (aka timestamps). Each timestamp is like a page in the book, and we read them from the oldest timestamps to the newest. Right now, we are reading timestamps from Feb 2022 (as of writing this post), so any timestamp dated later than Feb 2022 wont appear YET
If your lists are still completely EMPTY, there are 2 possible reasons:
One is that its about “activity”, not account age. So even if you joined in 2016, but you didnt add any manga until 2023, your list wont appear until the system reaches the timestamps for 2023. The second reason is, since the system is very busy right now, it sometimes hits a blurry page and has to skip to keep moving. This doesnt mean your data is gone. It just means the system needs to go back for a second run once the "main reading" is done
HOW SOON WILL THEY COMEBACK / WHEN IS THE RESTORATION EXPECTED TO FINISH
- how soon your lists fully comes back depends on how far along we are in the “book” and how many timestamps we still need to read. If yours already started to appear again then thats a good sign. it means your account is already in the queue and the rest should continue to come back (gradually, not all at once)
If theres another run, expect anywhere from a few extra hours to about one extra day. A full second pass could push it to Feb 4–5, but a partial cleanup run would likely finish around Feb 2–3.

I’ve had like 50k mangas saved IN MY READING LISTTT AND LIKE 800+ IN MY WANT TO READ ALL MY PEAK MANHWA AND BLS GONE!! GONE I SAYYY!!! I’m so happy and thankful it’s back but I’m still crashing out NOOOO PLSSSS I need it all back, I don’t remember 90% of what I have saved cuz some of them I was saving till they’re were more chapters or ......
Not only are most of your lists gone, check out your messages too. They're also gone. Thankfully mgg kept your customized list but also, I think few users got banned too cus I noticed some accs getting deleted... So uhm... Don't spread misinformation, just read these days. Forums is possibly gonna close.
