someone recommended this to me and i was like "sure i love me some otome slop" esp with the title i 100% expected the usual trope.
i was PLEASANTLY surprised.
this is such a breathtaking persepctive of this trope and genre. i am geniunely so impressed and in awe of this story. im not the type to glaze manhwas but this was beyond doubt the best villainess otome isekai manhwa i have ever read. wow it explored so many things ive never seen in any other otome isekai and the scene where she was SA'd by the prince and her reaction to it was so gut wrenching i had a physical reaction to it damn.
also i really like the perspective that the author wrote this in. in most otome isekai manhwas i always see misogynistic plot points, topics and motives like the "OG Fl evil!!! OG Fl fake!!!" and the MC's only female friend would be a maid or someone who's clearly in a lower class bc it's intimidating seeing a WOMAN in higher class than our MC >:(( . and obviously we dont blame the OG ML Crown Prince bc yk classicm and sexism!!!
this manhwa literally took the most OPPOSITE route.
i dont think i can even rate this like please i sincerely hope the author will make more manhwas in the future. i look forward to their future work! (づ￣ ³￣)づ
