the doomed yaoi broke me, the reference to edgar allan poe shook me and the mystery in this story took me , and my heart . im in awe by this story. i think everyone needs to read this seriously
edgar allan poe was famous for writing gothic / horror stories so you can kinda see the influence in this story a lot. two stories that are sooo similar to this one would be the fall of the house of usher, and the masque of the red death. u should check them out if u haven’t. and also edgar allan’s famous poem called , the raven was referenced by rose/roger himself ( i forgot which chapter ngl) but he said something then followed it with something along the line as “now and forevermore” i’m not sure if the famous nevermore was used icl i don’t remember, but i’m sure i missed other references:)
Also i would suggest that roger/rose is a living reminder of a lost person (edgar), just as the raven becomes a living reminder of the narrator's lost Lenore. (in edgar allan’s poem) . and just as the raven doesn’t answer the narrator’s questions, roger expresses that same characteristic where he wouldn’t answer richelle in the beginning
Depending on how high the pile goes it could be possible, but that would imply the corpse pile goes up almost the entire cliff face Winter Marie
ya ik but in this case , the pile hasn’t reached nowhere near the cliff and the fall looked deep. still doesn’t make sense how they survived that fall , and especially the other dude was on the verge of death so how tf did he manage to do that?
