i cant take this series seriously. yes the duke is an abuser and manipulator but he is a clown to me. hes clowning on this poor kid for the sake of getting dicked down. 100% down bad clownery going on on his part. hes doing Too Much.

one recognizes guwon as a maniacal antagonist who is capable of committing horrific irredeemable atrocities and cant be trusted

and the other is ignoring that and mumbling "baby man. babby." repeatedly

the art style is so simple and typical so idk why but i love the expressions. they feel different from other comics w this same type of art. like they have more character somehow and it really anchors me to the series unlike most.

the duke really spent 30 chapters clowning on that poor guy

trauma be damned i think i prefer the tops dickhead alter over his perpetually 8 yr old self
