I speak Russian too, and I don’t really get why so many Russian speakers say that “zainka” sounds weird :)
To me it sounds totally fine, so I’m trying to figure out if it’s more of a regional or generational thing - or maybe people just find it cringe to see our language used in manga and stuff. (=・ω・=)
